From all their distress God rescues the just
  • Isaiah 55:10-11
  • Psalm 34:4-7, 16-19
  • Matthew 6:7-15

Isaiah reminds us that God’s Word is not empty or ineffective; like rain and snow that nourish the earth, his Word accomplishes what he intends. It brings growth, transformation, and life wherever it falls, even when we cannot immediately perceive the results. God’s promises are active and reliable, shaping creation and human hearts according to his divine wisdom. Jesus teaches us to approach God with sincerity, simplicity, and trust. Prayer is not about empty repetition or trying to impress God with our words, but about opening our hearts to the Father who knows our needs. The Lord’s Prayer becomes a guide for authentic communication with God: asking for daily sustenance, forgiveness, and guidance while aligning our will with his. It calls us to mercy, dependence, and humility. Trusting God’s providence and speaking to him with a sincere heart allows his life-giving power to shape our lives, moment by moment.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
