Let us learn to love others as God loves us
  • Acts 5:17-26
  • Psalm 34:2-9
  • John 3:16-21

We are loved by God, and we enjoy full freedom in him. We are invited to share His love with others without expecting anything in return. Recently, I saw a Facebook article about a young man who graduated from university. He was abandoned as a child, but a nun in a particular convent looked after him as her own child and showed him great love and that great love impacted this young man’s life and he started to call her ‘mother’ instead of ‘sister’. Because of her love he became a good man in society. Up to date he is not a Christian, but experienced the fraternal love from that nun which helped him to be himself. St. Francis of Assisi shared fraternal love with whoever he met, even unbelievers. That is the power of love of our Lord Jesus. It gives peace and joy to our lives, no matter what we are going through, because that love sets us free and makes more people attracted to His love. There is no division in this love but only peace. No anger in this love but only mercy. No hurt in this love but only joy.

Prayer: Abba Father, help us to grow deeper in your love and give us the strength to be a good brother or sister to others. Amen.
