Speak the name of Jesus over every heart
  • Acts 22:3-16
  • Psalm 117:1-2
  • Mark 16:15-18

St. Paul was from an affluent family, well educated, a member of the Sanhedrin, who became a persecutor of the followers of Christ. On his way to Damascus he had a life changing encounter with the Lord Jesus. This brought him into the light and he began sharing the Gospel with the gentiles along with signs and wonders. St. Paul shared that even though we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, the righteousness of God is available through faith in Jesus, and therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. We are God’s beloved sons and daughters and are commissioned to go out and proclaim the good news to those who do not know the truth. He gives us a promise that signs and wonders will accompany us as we share the Gospel. It is difficult to be a disciple as Jesus is calling us to be, especially in a world where corruption is high. But when we put on Jesus and walk with an open heaven above us, God the Holy Spirit will guide us to do great things.

Prayer: Abba Father, bless me with spiritual boldness to speak the name of Jesus. Amen.
