Love God in all your ways
  • Tobit 6:10-11; 7:1, 9-17; 8:4-9
  • Psalm 128:1-5
  • Mark 12:28-34

“Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways” is a promise to cling onto. The first reading displays God’s loyalty in rewarding that faith- fulness. Jesus gives us a blueprint on loving God and walking in his ways. “With all our heart” – We are to serve him passionately using our time, our gifts, our talents and wealth.
“With all our soul” – We need to follow God’s leading, instead of depending on our own understanding, choices or worldly influences.
“With all our mind” – We need to be true to his commands in our actions and words. This is necessary not only at major events but also little moments such as turning away from an urge to gossip or slander or turning away from temptation to take a easy way out.
“With all our strength” – By the help of the Holy Spirit we need to wait in hope for God’s answer for our trials no matter how long or how difficult.
Let us become a living sacrifice of praise by the way we live.

Prayer: Abba Father, instil in me a steadfast spirit so that I may love as you want me to. Amen.
