Wednesday March 1
Repent before it is too late!
  • Jonah 3:1-10
  • Psalm 51:3-4,12-13,18-19
  • Luke 11:29-32

In these days and times, we are called to be like the people of Nineveh who, from their king to the least, chose to repent when they heard the voice of Jonah. One voice caused them to repent. We have received so much from the Lord yet tend to think that we were entitled to receive all that we have received. Sometimes God’s goodness and blessings are overflowing but we look for what never happened or never came our way. I just cannot forget the scenes in the cancer hospital in Maharagama, Sri Lanka where we see all ages and profiles of people and so many little children suffering from the ravages of cancer. Lent is a time when we just do not think of our sins and repent but thank God for all that has been LENT to us. Yes we have been lent the ground we live on, the things we use and the time we have because 50 to 70 years from now they will belong to someone else and we will be called LATE. So before it is too late let us choose to repent this Lent and find life with the Lord.

Prayer: Abba Father, today I choose to repent and heed the urgent call to change my life. Amen.
