Remaining faithful to the end
  • Daniel 2:31-45
  • Daniel 3:57-61
  • Luke 21:5-11

What we are facing today has been foretold by Christ. In today’ gospel proclamation the Lord mentioned, that nations will rise against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms, there will be persecutions, wars, earthquakes, famines and pestilences. Daniel explained this in interpreting King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Kingdoms would come and go, he said. Some strong, some weak and some even divided. Yet it is God’s Kingdom, built from stone not cut by human hands that will last forever. If there is one thing this pandemic has taught us, it is that no political or medical system can offer us a perfect or viable solution. Only the Lord through His indelible love and mercy having given it all for us, could save us not just from a virus but from a greater death of our souls.Through our patient endurance we will gain our souls. The Lord assures us if He will remain faithful to the end, He will guide us with His power and wisdom and give us the prize of the heavenly kingdom

Prayer: Abba Father, Empower me daily to press on and make heaven my goal until the end. Amen
