God has done marvelous things
  • 1 John 3:7-10
  • Psalm 98:1,7-9
  • John 1:35-42

God sent his Son into the world so that we might have life through him. Indeed that life awakens new beginnings. The Psalmist too endorses saying “He has done marvelous things.” (Ps 98:1) In the Gospel proclamation we see Andrew and an unnamed disciple, probably representing anyone who has love for the Lord, having an amazing encounter with Jesus. It is so monumental in the spirit, that human words would be insignificant and insufficient to spell out that experience. That day spent with the Lord opens the inner depths of hearts, to suddenly realize, that the search for the meaning of life is unexpectedly discovered and realized. It is so beautiful that one cannot but tell others about what happens when met by the Lord. Every Christian is called to share the experience with someone else who has not met the Lord. I have met the Lord. He touched me and I am no longer the same. No more shackled by the the heavy burden of sin. Allowing the nature of God to evolve within us, destroys the need to be anything else.

Prayer: Abba Father, may my heart be filled with love to serve the unloveable. Amen.
