Just one touch from you O Lord and I will never be the same.
  • James 1:19-27
  • Psalm 14:2-5
  • Mark 8:22-26

Most of us have heard and experienced the power of the Lord’s touch through the scriptures, in the lives of our near and dear ones and in our own lives. We have at one time or another received an instantaneous healing through simply hearing His words spoken over our lives. However, in today’s Gospel we see Jesus having to touch the eyes of the blind man twice to give him complete healing. I am left wondering why the first touch of Jesus brought only partial vision…Was it intentional or did the man lack something on his part for the full healing to manifest in his eyes? The message that I received is that we should not stop asking. Keep on praying until the miracle takes place. Whatever the obstacles that may be there, we are reminded that our Lord always intends to heal us, save us and deliver us. He gives us second chances over and again so that we will never miss out on good things. He instructs us through the scriptures about the way we should conduct our lives and assures us His love and presence through all circumstances.

Prayer: Abba Father, may we be quick to listen, slow to react and submit to Your holy Word to experience Your salvation. Amen.
