Being led by the Holy Spirit.
  • Acts 11:19-26
  • Psalm 87:1-7
  • John 10:22-30

Today many people are obsessed with worldly prosperity, which in the ordinary sense means having all kinds of material wealth and goods, but real prosperity is the ability to hear the voice of God, to be led by the Holy Spirit, and to be in God’s presence every day. The Lord Jesus is emphasising on the importance of discipleship. Being a disciple is not about having a title, instead we are always expected to listen to God and be in the presence of God. When we hear his voice and follow him, we will be guided by the holy Spirit. When we are led by the Holy Spirit we will be able to live as children of God. Let us think about our day to day activities, am I listening to God’s voice daily? Am I led by the Holy Spirit? Am I in the presence of God every day or am I listening to the voice of the world and acting according to the values of the world? Once I start to act based on worldly values, it will lead to destruction. Let us ask for the grace to hear God’s voice, to be in his presence and to be led by the Holy Spirit throughout the day.

Prayer: Abba Father, help me to hear your voice, so I will be led by your Holy Spirit. Amen.
