Heavenly Father loves me no matter what
  • Acts 18:23-28
  • Psalm 47:2-3,8-10
  • John 16:23-28

God who is so holy dwells in unapproachable light, whom no human being has seen or can see (1Tim 6:16). Yet, He loved us so much, He sent His Son, who took a human body to manifest the Father’s love by dying for our sins and giving us the ability to approach the Father and allow His love to fill our hearts. The deep hunger and cry of every heart: “Our hearts were made for you and it won’t rest till it finds rest in you.” (St. Augustine). My relationship with my earthly father was full of beautiful memories. He gave me what my heart cried out for in a difficult world. From childhood to adulthood I knew what pleased him and what did not. As a result my behavior was based on doing things that would not displease him. I sought doing things that would make him proud of having such a son. Of course there were many times I could not help falling short living up to his expectations. He would still love me, the very thing my heart sought. That made me secure. Our Heavenly Father also wants such a relationship with us.

Prayer: Abba Father, may I experience the joy of knowing I am loved, because of your Son Jesus who loves me. Amen.
