The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand
  • Hosea 10:1-3,7-8,12
  • Psalm 105:2-7
  • Matthew 10:1-7

Jesus chose mere ordinary people, who were otherwise despised and insignificant in society to do the extraordinary task of proclaiming the Kingdom of God. Jesus equipped them with what was necessary by giving them power and authority to cast out unclean spirits and heal every disease and infirmity. As we read in today’s Gospel proclamation, indeed, the Kingdom of God is at hand. If we submit ourselves to the will of God, we can live in the Kingdom where God reigns. By reading His word and meditating upon it, we are directed and guided to do His will. In the Kingdom of God, there is freedom from all bondages of sin and healing for all diseases. The miracles done by Jesus as he ministered here on earth bears evidence of the same. The Kingdom of God is a place where we are assured of having true peace, love and joy ruling in our midst. Therefore, the choice is ours to choose His will and enjoy life in all its fullness. Filled with His presence, we will no doubt become witnesses to His Kingdom.

Prayer: Abba Father, let your kingdom come and let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
