Are we grounded in Christ?
  • Acts 5:27-33
  • Psalm 34:2,9,17-20
  • John 3:31-36

Times of testing are for all of us – God did not even spare his only son from testing his belongings or his identity; at times we also need our identity tested; are we from God? Though we are born of God we may not live as born from him. Day in and day out, our faith is tested, our roots are tested, do we have feeble bearings or bearings deeply rooted in the ‘Word’. Jesus, the son of God was hung on the cross and now he is seated at the right hand of the Father on our behalf, so that we as his own inheritance, may have forgiveness of our sins. It is a good time to ponder, where our hearts are at this time, as we come out from spiritual death to life! The world in the flesh will try us on our identity, to check our standing in difficult times; are we grounded well, as to who we are? The Holy spirit convicts us of the word and inspires us to obey the word. If we are filled with the Holy Spirit, there would be people in our lives who would recognize that we are indeed from God!

Prayer: Abba Father, may we be illuminated with the light of your Spirit to recognize you in our daily activities. Amen.
