Hope does not Disappoint
  • Ezekiel 37:21-28
  • Jeremiah 31:10-13
  • John 11:45-56

God has given many promises to the people and in the Gospel proclamation we can see how God fulfilled those promises. If we have a good relationship with God, he promises many good things. Sometimes we feel that his promises will not be fulfilled because we cannot see signs. As a result we may lose our faith and start to complain. It is good to wrestle with God while remaining in the faith but others may walk away. If God has promised something, he will fulfil his promise, as he never abandons his children. However, he will fulfil it in his time and in his way. Therefore, we need to keep our hope in him. Recently I faced a career changing moment, my dreams seemed to become blurred. With a painful heart I said to the Lord: “I am your servant answer me”. At Holy Mass the Lord gave me a word of guidance. I said to the Lord, “let your will be done in my life”. When I said that, I felt peace and freedom. I know I am safe in his love and my hope is in him. He will fulfil our dreams.

PRAYER: Abba Father, I hope in you alone. Amen.
