Power of the resurrection
  • 1 Corinthians 15:12-20
  • Psalm 17:1,6-8,15
  • Luke 8:1-3

Even today there are people whoPsqaulmestion the resurrection of our Lord Je- sus Christ. As Christians, it is a fundamental belief that we profess. As St. Paul says, “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is empty.” Christian- ity will be reduced to a mere social movement. Our faith in the Risen Lord is what motivates our thoughts, words and actions. Let us examine our hearts today, have we allowed the power of the resurrection to transform us?

As we journey with the Lord, have we imposed restrictions on God’s action in our lives. Do we seek his mind and will before we take decisions? Are our actions inspired by his Word? Let us seek to please God alone, in whatever we do. When we do that, the power of the resurrection will radiate to those around us, and others will also be inspired to follow the Risen Lord. May our voices be raised in praising the mighty things that God has done in our lives and in the lives of those around us. May we become authentic witnesses to the resurrection of Christ.

Prayer: Abba Father, transform me so that I may become a true witness to your love. Amen.
