You did not choose me, but I chose you
  • Acts 15:22-31
  • Psalm 57:8-12
  • John 15:12-17

Jesus speaks about true love and joy. Jesus uses the language of love to explain God’s merciful heart to us. God sent his only son to this world and he experienced sorrow and pain and gave us salvation. How well do we understand God’s language? According to the word of God it is not our choice to receive the ability to speak and understand his love, he has chosen us to give his love to the world through our words and actions. Are we prepared to deny ourselves for the sake of his love? Jesus calls us his friends. “You are my friends if you do what I command you”. The love that we find in this world is conditional, limited and makes us slaves of our own flesh. We are chosen to experience God’s unconditional and unlimited love which will make us free to experience real joy. We are God’s appointed people to bear fruits in the world. Fruits which empower us to carry out the mission entrusted to us among the people. Are we ready to use our faith to ask and seek to manifest his glory on earth?

Prayer: Abba Father, thank you for choosing me.Amen.
