Tuesday November 9
God is dwelling in our hearts, He and I are one!
  • Ezekial 47:1-2, 8-12
  • Psalm 46:2-9
  • 1 Corinthians 3:9-17
  • John 2:13-22

We can often think that God dwells only in huge church buildings. In today’s reading, it is made clear that each individual is a temple of God, God dwells in our hearts. Together, we become God’s building called the church through the spirit of God who lives in us. Jesus Christ laid the foundation for us by giving his life for the Church, therefore we must take utmost care to build on this foundation. We are responsible for our own actions, if we defile the temple of God. By doing the wrong thing, or by not following in Christ’s foot steps, we are contributing to the destruction of the church which Christ himself built . As we see in todays Gospel reading, this is one of the few occasions where our Lord loses his temper and chases people out as they have made the house of God a market place. The questions we need to ask is do we realise who we are? Are we led by the Holy Spirit in our day to day activities.

Prayer: Abba Father, increase my faith. Amen
