Born for his glory, born for more
  • Acts 17:15.22-18:1
  • Psalm 148:1-2,11-14
  • John 16:12-15

In today’s Gospel proclamation, Jesus says, “I still have many things to say to you”. Often we are not ready to hear his truths, his revelations and divine mysteries as our hearts are occupied with the things of this world. A question that may be useful to ponder on this day is; “Is there room in my heart for Jesus?” I heard someone once say, “If only we would know what God has planned and purposed for us here on earth; that we were created for his glory, for much more, we would leave it all and embrace the cross, not counting its cost”. His glory awaits our ‘yes’. John 16:13 has also been life changing for me.

Whenever I have been oppressed by negative thoughts or have listened to the lies of the enemy, the Holy Spirit gently reminds me to ponder on this verse, “When the Spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all truth.” As I keep meditating on God’s word, trying to understand him, he reveals his truth to me, I recognise the lies of the enemy and I see clearly once more. Let us seek God’s clarity and guidance.

Prayer: Abba Father, help me surrender my all to you: my past, present and future so that I stay ready for your Kingdom’s glory. Amen.
