Hope in God
  • Hebrews 6:10-20
  • Psalm 111:1-2,4-5,9-10
  • Mark 2:23-28

Today’s first reading reminds us of hope, faith and patience. As Christians we need to have these virtues in our lives. If we are not with the Lord, it will not be possible. Often we are tempted to reach our goals with our human efforts without the Lord’s help. The Lord assures us that he is the Lord of everything and we do not need to worry. We are called to surrender everything to God with faith, because he is our Father and he knows what is good for us. Even before we ask, the Lord will provide what we need, in accordance with his will. The Lord reigns over the whole universe and there is nothing greater than him. Our God is eternal and he is love. We need to be confident in his love. We are to praise and thank him for what he has done in our lives. Let us take a moment to think about our past and we will be able to see how the Lord guided us through impossible situations. How great is God our loving Father. Let us keep our hope in God and patiently wait for his answer because he will never abandon us.

Prayer: Abba Father, I hope in you. Amen.
