Let us love as Jesus loves us
  • Ezekiel 16:1-15,60,63
  • Isaiah 12:2-6
  • Matthew 19:3-12

A husband came to a prayer meeting pushing his wife on a wheelchair. She did not have both her legs. They were so joyous and in love. The wife had lost her legs in an accident just before they got married and yet the husband did not back out. He got married to her and they have two children and a beautiful family. In a world where many of us are not willing to commit to anything that does not make us happy and is not the best we can get for ourselves – this husband signed up to love and to marry this lady. It is only when we are loved by God completely that we can love our spouse in a self-giving way just like Jesus Christ loved us by laying down his life for us. Most of the time we are looking to take the easy road in our marriages and relationships, let us turn to God in repentance and receive the Word of God, as it truly is, so that the Holy Spirit will bring alive the Word in our hearts. “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38

Prayer: Abba Father, we open our hearts to accept your Word into our lives. Amen.
