Allow the Lord to empower us
  • Daniel 7:9-10,13-14
  • Psalm 97:1-2,5-6,9
  • Luke 9:28-36

The Lord Jesus became man and walked among His creation when He came to this world. He was eternally glorified in the presence of the Father. This is the vision that the prophet Daniel saw. He saw the ancient of days seated on the throne. He is called the ancient of days because He has no beginning – He is the beginning. God is seated on the throne because He is in control of all things. The Prophet Daniel sees one in the likeness of the Son of man go into the presence of this great God. Jesus who took on the likeness of man became a sin offering for the redemption of all humankind and was glorified by rising from the dead, defeating sin. For all this to happen he had to obey the will of the Father. He experienced glory because of total surrender and then the voice from heaven came “This is my beloved Son: listen to Him.” The favor of God comes upon us when we come to Him, give him the truth of our lives and surrender our hearts fully to Him. After experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we receive power.

Prayer: Abba Father, I long to hear your words spoken to me. May I have a daily in-filling of the Holy Spirit to enable me to do so. Amen.
