Let us reflect on what it truly means to live with faith, courage, and responsibility before God. In the first reading, we see a mother and her seven sons, standing firm even in the face of brutal persecution. Their love for God was greater than their fear of death. The mother, with unshakable faith, encouraged her children to trust in the Creator who gives life and will restore it. What a witness! Their sacrifice reminds us that faith is not something we hold only in times of comfort: it is a fire that must endure trial, even suffering. In the Gospel reading, Jesus tells us the parable of the ten gold coins. The servants are entrusted with resources while the master is away. Some take risks, invest, and multiply what they were given. One hides his share out of fear and loses everything. God has entrusted us with talents. Are we using these gifts for his kingdom, or are we burying them in fear, laziness, or indifference? Let us not waste what God has given: let us live courageously.
PRAYER: Abba Father, increase our faith, and strengthen our courage. Amen.
