Jesus leaves us a map on how we should be responsible stewards of what he has entrusted to us. Some are wealthier than others. Some are healthier than others. Some are rich in the knowledge of the Lord while others are still seeking or have lost their way. How do we manage what we have received? If my actions do not reveal the goodness of God to those poor in every sense of the word, then my generosity and stewardship are flawed. We are called to live our faith and witness to God, be it in big moments or little things. Amos lays out God’s warning of an eventual famine of hearing his word, and of his presence if we continue a box ticking exercise of “seemingly following the ways of God”. Jesus desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of God. If I am blessed to find my self in the presence of God, it is my calling to intercede for those who have stopped hearing the voice of God, those who need to re-discover God. Can God count on me to carry out his mission?
PRAYER: Abba Father, may my life bear witness to your kingdom. Amen.
