God’s Kingdom is for Everyone
  • Exodus 32:15-24, 30-34
  • Psalm 106:19-23
  • Mathew: 13:31-35

We should not underestimate what God can do through us when we obediently respond to him. The Kingdom of God is for everyone. No one is too small or insignificant. Everyone is precious in God’s eyes and a part of the body of Christ. Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom among sinners: people who were rejected and marginalized. St. Therese of Lisieux was a simple nun hidden away in a Carmelite convent, yet God called her to a life of holiness. Similarly, he let his beacon of love shine through St Teresa of Calcutta. Many saints came from simple and humble backgrounds, trusting in the Lord. This is an invitation for us to persevere and let the mustard seed and the leaven in our lives grow, by being broken and transformed. “To those who suffer God does not provide arguments that explain everything; rather his response is that of an accompanying Presence, a history of goodness that touches every story of suffering and opens up a ray of light.” Pope Francis.

PRAYER: Abba Father, empower us to live the Gospel and to be a testimony for the rest of the world. Amen.
