Let us be mindful of God’s heart for humanity. The Lord created man and woman and blessed their union and elevated it to a Sacrament. Thus, marriage of spouses and raising children in a family was his plan and design. The Lord confirmed that family union is good and wholesome as he sent his only begotten Son to this world to belong in a family and grow in the warmth and harmony of a family. The Scriptures enlighten us on how to build loving families and grow in holiness. We are called to treat parents, spouses, siblings and children in the right manner. Let us learn the values and methods of building a Christian family. The more we draw close to God, we will learn the beauty and bliss of a blessed Christian family. Families enhance our communities, church and society at large. Love of money and pleasure has overtaken people’s lives. Divine love in marriage and family life is often missing in the present day. Let us pray that God’s love will envelop our families.

Abba Father, let your Spirit touch our hearts to deepen the mutual bonds and union in our families. Amen.
