Our inheritance is everlasting Life
  • Romans 6:19-23
  • Psalm 1:1-4, 6
  • Luke 12:49-53

St. Paul speaks about the contrast between being slaves to sin and being servants of God. Many of us were lost and bound to the power of evil, following the desires of the flesh and the empty promises of the world. Sin held us captive, leading us only toward death, destruction, and despair. But through the saving grace of Jesus, we have been rescued from that bondage. He has redeemed us, set us free, and brought us into a new way of life, rooted in holiness and truth. As followers of Christ, we cannot follow the ways of the enemy or conform to the standards of this world. Our commitment to the Lord comes at a cost. Even within our families, we may face rejection, misunderstanding, and persecution. Yet Jesus himself spoke of the fire he came to ignite in our hearts, a fire of love, truth, and zeal that transforms and strengthens us. The psalmist says that true joy is found in obeying the Lord and delighting in his Word. May our path be filled with hope as we journey to eternity.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may our lives burn as bright lights to lead others to you. Amen.
