God reveals his plans for our lives through his Word. The word of God is a double edged sword. It helps us in our relationship with God, to deepen our intimacy with him. How connected are we to God? Do we hear his voice whispering to us when we sit in prayer? Does the Holy Spirit move within us? Perhaps we are having a spiritual desert experience going through dryness in our journey? Most of the time, we operate in the flesh, caught up in status, materialism, power and greed. We are self-centred, judgemental and lack patience and humility. We become reactive, jealous and insecure about our identity because we have lost our peace and security in Jesus. The Gospel reading invites us to repent and surrender to God. There is a need for a change of heart. When we are aware of the Spirit within us, we will manifest the fruits and gifts of the Spirit. We will be fruitful because God is leading us on the path to eternal life.

PRAYER: Abba Father, give us the courage to lead others to your kingdom. Amen.
