No matter what we are going through, with God, there is hope for the future. We may look at our past mistakes and failures and think there is no redemption, but with God, there is always hope. Just as a mother comforts her child, so God comforts us, offering grace greater than our failures. The Israelites knew what it was to suffer. Yet, in the midst of their suffering, they remained mindful of God’s love for them. We, too, may have strayed from him, relying on ourselves instead, and as a result, we may be facing difficulties in our lives. But God does not abandon us. He cares for us and provides for us—body, mind, and spirit. Like a mother nursing her child, God nourishes us. He sends us out, just as Jesus sent the seventy-two disciples, equipping us with his pow- er. God has been with us in the past, and he will be with us in the future. Our names are written in heaven, and in his presence, we find true satisfaction, comfort, peace, and a vision of eternity. So, let us rejoice in Jesus.
PRAYER: Abba Father, we rejoice in your promises. Amen.
