To which Kingdom do you belong?
  • 2 Samuel 5:1-3
  • Psalm 122:1-5
  • Colossians 1:12-20
  • Luke 23:35-43

We have been created for a purpose, yet we have been given the freedom of choice. St. Paul tells us that the Heavenly Father who created us, has “qualified” us to share in the inheritance of his Kingdom of Light. Usually, qualification is linked with performance, but no human could achieve it or buy freedom from sin. It is God who qualified us to be heirs of his Kingdom by rescuing us from the clutches of the prince of darkness and bringing us into the Kingdom of his Son, who purified us in his Blood. The Father desires us, his adopted children, to reign with his Only Begotten Son. Do we desire to live under the authority of the King of the Universe? He speaks over our life situations above and beyond all human limitations, bringing heaven’s realities to earth. The criminal on the right side of Christ crucified, made that choice at the last moment of his life and received the much-envied privilege of accompanying Christ to paradise. Let us make the wise choice.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may we trust in you at all times. Amen.
