Jesus reminds us that a lamp is not meant to be hidden. Light is created to shine, and he is that true, unfailing light. His truth is not something that we can keep quiet or conceal. It is meant to guide, illuminate, and expose what is real. Jesus’ light reveals motives, brings clarity, and exposes the areas in our lives that need change. His light opens the door to real growth. Our Lord Jesus also gives a direct warning: the measure we use will be measured back to us. If we approach God half-heartedly, we receive little. But when we lean in with hunger, and humility God multiplies what he gives. We are called to stop dimming our faith to fit-in or avoid discomfort. We are meant to reflect Christ in our choices, habits, and conversations. The world offers many false lights, but only Jesus brings clarity, direction, and truth. Choosing his light daily is choosing transformation. Are we ready to choose him today above everything in our lives?
