Today’s first reading says “We reap what we sow”. Am I a generous giver or does my generosity depend on what I can receive in return? Climbing the corporate ladder, acquiring wealth, often dominate our minds to the extent that we become self-centered than Christ-centered. As a result, we have no time to listen to the needs of our brothers and sisters. Let us slow down and reflect on the word of God, to gain wisdom and knowledge, so that we live not according to the social norms but according to the will of the Father. In Jesus, we find the true blessings of life. Jesus provides what we need to live a purposeful life. In the Gospel reading, Jesus emphasizes that our true reward is in heaven and we should not seek human recognition and honor, which are temporary, but rather seek the recognition and honor of the eternal kingdom. Are we ready to allow the word of God to shape our lives so that we live Christ-centered lives to glorify his holy name?
PRAYER: Abba Father, I pray for the grace to live a Christ-centered life, to be free to give as you have freely given. Amen.
