“My sheep hear my voice”
  • Acts 11:19-26
  • Psalm 87:1-7
  • John 10:22-30

In the first reading, we see the early followers of Jesus scattered by persecution, yet God transforms fear into mission. Philip and others go to new places, sharing the Good News, and the Church begins to flourish. When Barnabas comes to Antioch, he encourages and teaches, and the community grows, filled with faith and hope. God works through those who listen, serve, and nurture others in love. In the Gospel, Jesus proclaims with confidence, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” Christ knows each of us, and nothing can separate us from his care. We are called to trust his voice, follow him, and remain in communion with one another. Pope Francis said, “The Lord never tires of forgiving; we are the ones who tire of asking for his mercy.” Nourished by his mercy and strengthened by the Spirit, we are sent to witness Christ’s love, guiding and protecting others as the Shepherd does.

Abba Father, let all the nations praise you. Amen.
