Prepare for the Passover
  • Isaiah 50:4-9
  • Psalm 69:8-10,21-22,31,33-34
  • Matthew 26:14-25

People suffered because they could not hear the voice of the Lord. Then the Servant of God, obedient to the will of the Father, accepted the cross to open the heavens once again and to reconcile humanity with God. The journey to the cross was foretold by Isaiah 600 years before the birth of Jesus. Even on the cross, the Lord Jesus comforted the weary and broken. His eyes were forgiving, and he submitted his body to be tortured and beaten like a criminal. It is not a weakness but a sign of great strength and inner peace. How do we react when we are criticized and treated unfairly? We need to be aware that we too are on a mission, carrying the weakest on our shoulders even in the midst of ingratitude and lack of recognition. Let us draw power and strength from the Lord Jesus, who underwent deep emotional and physical pain to win for us the inheritance of the Kingdom of God and to draw us into eternal life in heaven.

Abba Father, help us to remain connected with you. Amen.
