Remain faithful amid opposition
  • Jeremiah 20:10-13
  • Psalm 18:2-7
  • John 10:31-42

It is challenging to remain faithful amid opposition. Jeremiah faces threats from those who reject his message, yet he continues to trust in God’s protection and justice. God hears the cries of the needy and delivers them from harm. Even in moments of fear or difficulty, we are invited to turn to God with confidence, knowing that he strengthens and upholds all who sincerely seek him. In the Gospel, Jesus speaks of his unity with the Father. Though accused and opposed, he remains steadfast in his mission. Jesus calls the people to believe in him, pointing to his works as evidence of his divine authority and connection with the Father. His words remind us that faith in him is faith in God’s plan and purpose for our lives. Placing our trust in Jesus draws us into a deeper relationship with the Father. Faith is not passive; it demands courage, perseverance, and commitment. Let us remain firm, trusting that God’s strength will carry us through every challenge.

Abba Father, give us courage to stay faithful amid challenges and to rely on your strength. Amen.
