What does it mean to live as people who are born of the Spirit? In the Acts of the Apostles, we see a beautiful image of the early Church: one heart and one mind. Their unity was not forced, but flowed naturally from hearts transformed by the Holy Spirit. Because they trusted God completely, they were free to share what they had, ensuring that no one among them was in need. In the Gospel, the Lord Jesus tells Nicodemus that new life comes only by being born from above. This rebirth is not something we can achieve by our own effort or control. Like the wind, the Spirit moves where he wills, reshaping our priorities and loosening our grip on fear, possessions, and self-interest. True life comes through surrender and trust. What is the Spirit asking us to let go of so that others may live? When we fix our eyes on Christ lifted up, we are healed, renewed, and drawn into a life of generosity, unity, and deep faith.
Abba Father, may our eyes be fixed on Jesus. Amen.
