Jesus is risen, alleluia!
  • Acts 10:34, 37-43
  • Psalm 118:1-2,16-17,22-23
  • Colossians 3:1-4
  • John 20:1-9

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is at the heart of our faith. As St. Paul says in Colossians 3:1, “Since you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above.” Because Jesus rose from the dead, our lives are no longer the same. His victory over death gives meaning to our faith and direction to our lives. Jesus shared his new life with us. St. Paul reminds us, “For you have died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3). This means our old life of sin has been left behind, and we are called to live as new people. Our thoughts, actions, and attitudes should reflect his presence within us. We do not live for worldly success but for what truly matters to God. Our hope is clear in Colossians 3:4: “When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our belief, our hope, and our new life. Are we ready to live with the awareness that the Risen Christ lives in us?

Lord Jesus, I believe that you are truly risen. Empower me to share the Good News with others. Amen.
