It is easy to approach God cautiously. We may pray carefully, measuring our words, unsure if we are asking for too much. At times, we might even wonder whether our small concerns truly matter. Yet Jesus tells us clearly, “The Father himself loves you.” If we truly believed this, how would it change the way we pray? Would we still hesitate? Would we continue carrying burdens alone instead of placing them before him? Jesus invites us to ask so that our joy may be complete. This is not an invitation into a transaction, but into a relationship. We are not persuading God to care; we are responding to a love that already exists. Sometimes we measure our worth by our productivity, our reputation, or our spiritual consistency. But the Father’s love does not rise and fall with our performance: it remains steady. When we remember that we come from God and journey toward him, prayer becomes less about proving ourselves and more about trusting that we are already held in his loving arms.
PRAYER: Abba Father, teach us to approach you with trust, to rest in the certainty of your love, and to pray with open and confident hearts. Amen.
