I am going to the One who sent me
  • Acts 16:22-34
  • Psalm 138:1-3,7-8
  • John 16:5-11

In the midst of suffering, the response of the apostles reveals a freedom that cannot be chained. They do not give in to despair or resentment, but turn to prayer and praise. Their faith is not dependent on circumstances; it is rooted in a deeper trust that God is present even in the darkest moments. This interior freedom becomes a witness more powerful than any argument, touching even the heart of the jailer. The turning point is not the earthquake, but the transformation it brings about. Fear gives way to faith, and a household is drawn into new life. God can work through moments of crisis, not only to free us, but to awaken others through our witness. In the Gospel, Jesus speaks of his departure as something necessary. The Spirit will reveal truth, guiding hearts into deeper understanding. Even what seems like loss or absence can become a space where God’s presence is more profoundly known. No situation is without grace, and even in trials, God is at work.

PRAYER: Abba Father, protect me with your right hand. Amen.
