Following God’s call is not always easy. Plans are made, doors seem open, yet the Spirit redirects in unexpected ways. What stands out is the disciples’ willingness to remain attentive and obedient. Mission is not driven by personal preference, but by listening: allowing God to guide each step, even into unfamiliar territory. In the Gospel, Jesus prepares his disciples for a harder truth: the world may not always accept them. To belong to him is to stand apart at times, to be misunderstood or even rejected. Yet this rejection is not a sign of failure, but of fidelity. It reflects a life aligned with Christ. We often seek comfort, clarity, and acceptance. But discipleship calls for courage: to follow even when the path is uncertain, and to remain faithful even when it costs us something. Today, take a deliberate step outside your comfort zone: speak a word of truth, stand up for someone being treated unfairly, or choose integrity in a situation where it might cost you.
PRAYER: Abba Father, let all the earth cry out to you with joy. Amen.
