The Lord takes delight in his people
  • Acts 16:11-15
  • Psalm 149:1-6,9
  • John 15:26-16:4

The conversion of Lydia reveals how God often works through openness rather than force. She listens, receives, and responds with generosity. The mission advances not through spectacle, but through receptive hearts willing to welcome both the Word and those who carry it. In the Gospel, Jesus speaks of the coming Advocate, the Spirit of truth, who will testify and strengthen his followers. Yet he also prepares them for opposition. Faithfulness will not always be met with understanding; sometimes it will bring discomfort or exclusion. Still, the Spirit sustains those who remain steadfast in witness. The invitation here is to cultivate an interior openness and a quiet courage. Faith begins in the heart: where we allow God to enter, to speak, and to transform. Let us take a few moments of silence and open our hearts to God and pray that our hearts would be receptive to his word. Let us be mindful and reorient ourselves throughout the day.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may our words and actions be pleasing to you. Amen.
