God intended us to hear him, walk with him and talk with him. But we try to take control of our lives and become self centred and separated from God. Our spirits become blind and unaware of God. We are preoccupied with the things of this world. Jesus’ teachings had great truth and power, and it disturbed many, yet they did not want to accept him claiming that he was from an ordinary family in the village. They did not see Jesus as the Son of God. Today powerful and strong people try to dominate the world and people gladly listen to and follow them even if they know they are not right. Jesus could have come as a king with a powerful army and built his empire. It would have solved many issues but God sent his son in a way beyond the understanding of human beings. The weapons Jesus used were total trust and belief in God, obedience to God’s will and then accepting the consequences from God’s hands. In the end Jesus became the King of the whole universe.

PRAYER: Abba Father, help us to see through our inner eyes and listen to your voice in the midst of chaos, never wavering in our faith. Amen.
