The first reading invites us to live with a clear mind, fervent love, and steadfast faith, reminding us that “the end of all things is at hand.” We are urged to be alert in prayer, to love one another deeply, and to use our gifts to serve others faithfully. This calls us to see trials as opportunities for the Spirit to manifest. In the Gospel, Jesus’ actions in the temple reveal both zeal for God’s house and the power of faith-filled prayer. His cleansing of the temple and teaching about prayer show that our relationship with God calls for sincerity, discernment, and trust in his providence. When we pray with faith, even the seemingly impossible becomes possible. As St. Paul VI said, “Merely to remain true to the faith is not enough…it has to be shared with others.” These words encourage us to approach life with confidence in God’s grace, to serve faithfully with the gifts we have received, and to act in love, humility, and courage, trusting that Christ strengthens and guides us in every challenge.
PRAYER: Abba Father, may we go and bear fruit that will last. Amen.
