God is Faithful
  • 2 Timothy 1:1-3, 6-12
  • Psalm 123:1-2
  • Mark 12:18-27

St. Paul speaks of how he responds to adversity. Despite his condition, he was not discouraged nor does he deviate from what God has ordained and instructed him to do. Almost every day we encounter different problems. Often in the face of crisis we respond by being negative and bitter. We point fingers and blame people after encountering trouble. These responses do not make us feel better nor do they help our situation. In any situation we face, we should bear it for the sake of the Gospel with strength that comes from God.We may face times of uncertainty about the future or maybe even the next hour, but one thing we do not have to question, doubt or be uncertain about is our salvation. He who saved us has the power to keep us saved. When troubles come, there may be things we do not understand, but if we know the Lord, no matter what we face, we know that we are safe in the arms of God. As we”are his sons and daughters, he will never abandon us. He is faithful.

PRAYER: Abba Father, give us the grace to hold onto your promises in every crisis we face. Amen.
