Come as you are, I love you
  • Hosea 14:2-10
  • Psalm 51:3-4, 8-9, 12-14, 17
  • Matthew 10:16-23

The Lord says: “Return to me.” Not tomorrow. Not after improvement. Not after becoming worthy. Simply return. Hosea speaks of a God who heals infidelity and loves freely. The invitation is tender rather than threatening. Conversion is presented not as humiliation but as homecoming. Then the Gospel shifts tone. Jesus warns his disciples about opposition, betrayal, and suffering. At first the readings seem disconnected. Yet they meet at one point: endurance. The disciple who returns to God must also remain with God. Many begin the spiritual journey with enthusiasm. Fewer continue when misunderstood, ignored, or wounded. Christ never hides that reality. Today imagine the Lord speaking directly to your heart: “When you fail, return. When you are discouraged, return. When prayer feels empty, return.” The Christian life is not built upon never falling. It is built upon never ceasing to come back.

PRAYER: Abba Father, my mouth will declare your praise. Amen.
