Mary is truly blessed for she was conceived and born without sin, predestined to be the mother of God. Though she did not fully fathom the announcement of the angel Gabriel, that she is going to be the mother of God, she surrendered her life to God. Like any mother she would have faced challenges raising her Son. How did she deal with it? She treasured and pondered in her heart, each moment of her life. Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Her immaculate heart saw the face of God in everything that she went through in her life and in the life of her Son. Mary, the mother of God, reminds us to treasure and ponder on the Word of God and to think before we respond, to ponder before we react when dealing with day-to-day situations of life. She invites us to be silent and seek the face of God, for his will to be fulfilled in our life and for his saving power to flow through our lives to others as well.
PRAYER: Abba Father, I thank and praise you, for loving me unconditionally and for never abandoning me. Amen.
