Responding in Love
  • 2 Corinthians 6:1-10
  • Psalm 98:1-4
  • Matthew 5:38-42

Let us reflect on how we live our spiritual journey. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to show us the truth. We might feel like we often face conflicts or struggles but when we have the Holy Spirit in us, we are able to carry on our ministries to serve God and others. It feels like a long hard road but we have to go through pain and suffering to help others carry the cross, to lead them to God. Our creator God has made known his salvation to us and the Word of God, is a light to our path. As we go through life, we desperately need the word of God to guide us and instruct us. His Word is a testimony of his blessings for his people. The word of God is a double edged sword that holds us accountable for our thoughts, actions and behaviours. In the Gospel reading, we see Jesus reminding the disciples that we have to respond with love and compassion and not react negatively. In this way, we will be different and give better responses as disciples of Christ.

PRAYER: Abba Father, instead of reacting negatively, may we respond with love, patience and compassion. Amen.
