In today’s Gospel, the parable of the wedding banquet reminds us that God invites everyone to share in his kingdom, yet many ignore or reject the invitation. Some are too busy, while others remain indifferent. This reflects how, in our daily lives, we can become distracted by worldly concerns and miss God’s call. We are called to remain intentional and make time for God, even in small ways, instead of allowing faith to slip into the background. The king invites everyone without discrimination, even those who feel unworthy. Yet the parable speaks of the wedding garment. It reminds us that accepting God’s invitation is not enough; we are also called to respond with transformed lives. The “garment” represents a heart changed by grace, living with sincerity, love, and obedience. The words, “Many are called, but few are chosen,” challenge us not only to hear God’s call, but to truly live it. God invites us every day; may we remain open to accepting his invitation and living it sincerely.
PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for inviting me into your presence. Teach me to welcome others as you welcome me. Amen.
