Who shall separate us from the love of God?
  • Romans 8:31-39
  • Psalm 109:21-22,26-27,30-31
  • Luke 13:31-35

The first reading provides a strong message: “Who can separate us from the love of God?” Jesus died on the cross, shedding his precious blood so that we can have a victorious life. He conquered death so that we too can be conquerors in every situation. Let us take a moment to reflect on our struggles and challenges and to say with authority: “I am a conqueror”. “I am victorious” over my struggles. The promise and the assurance that we have in Jesus are enough to satisfy our needs. His love is enough to take us over and above our situations. Jesus is there for us and nothing or no one can separate us from his love. This is clearly seen in the Gospel reading when Jesus held firm to the mission to which he was sent for. No accusation or threat could put him down or distance him from carrying out his mission because he knew who he was. Jesus invites us to come and experience his love and live under the shadow of his wings.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may I never be separated from your love. Amen.
