Proclaim the Resurrection
  • 1 Corinthians 15:12-20
  • Psalm 17:1,6-8,15
  • Luke 8:1-3

We are people of the Resurrection, called to live in the victory won for us by Christ. As St. Paul reminds us in the first reading, Jesus has paid the price for our sins through his death and resurrection. By defeating death, he opened the way to eternal life and gave us hope that no trial can overcome God’s saving power. Throughout his ministry, Jesus faced many challenges, yet he overcame them with courage and faithfulness. When the time came to confront death itself, he willingly surrendered to fulfill the Father’s will. The Gospel highlights another sign of his courage. In a society where women were often marginalized, Jesus welcomed them as his disciples and valued their contribution to his mission. St. Paul declares that if Christ has not been raised, our faith is in vain. The Apostles and disciples devoted their lives, and many gave their lives, because they knew the Resurrection was true. Their witness invites us to live with the same faith and confidence in the risen Lord.

PRAYER: Abba Father, thank you for choosing me to proclaim your love to the world. Amen.
