“Jesus, though he was God…humbled himself, taking the form of a servant and became obedient unto death” (cf. Phil 2:6-8) He shows us the perfect way to live. He set aside divine privilege and chose humility, service, and sacrifice. Because of his obedience, God exalted him. As I reflect on my life, I must ask: do I live with humility, service, and sacrifice? Is Jesus pleased with how I treat others? Do I seek fairness, or do I react when I am wrongly accused? Do I fall into gossip or the shaming of others? Looking at Christ on the cross, I see my sin and the suffering it caused him. Yet he responds with mercy, compassion, and love, calling me to return, change my ways, and live a life worthy of him. He invites me to listen to his voice and follow his teaching. The Gospel reminds us that true conversion is not outward appearance but a heart that turns back to God in obedience and holiness. Today he calls us to give him our heart completely.
