Go and bear fruit that will remain

Today’s Gospel invites us to reflect on our lives as stewards of God’s vineyard. Everything we have has been entrusted to us. Our task is to care for these gifts faithfully and offer God the fruits of a life well lived. It is easy to forget this and begin to live as though all we have is our own possession. Yet the Gospel reminds us that all is gift and all is grace. We can become complacent, living as though God is distant or absent. Scripture gives us an urgent call: to live faithfully now, not later; to bear fruit today, not in some distant future. St. Paul strengthens us with his words: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Worry does not change our circumstances, but prayer places them in God’s hands. Faith is shown in how we live, love and respond to God’s Word. When anxiety fills our hearts, we are called not to panic but to pray, trusting that God holds all things in His care.

PRAYER: Abba Father, help us live each day in faithful trust, bearing fruit though love. Amen.
